Travel has become an essential part of everyone’s life, but planning a trip still remains a complex and time-consuming process. Questions like where to go, what to explore, how to get there, the best mode of travel, and how much it will cost often overwhelm people. This leads to many trips being either canceled or poorly planned, resulting in missed experiences.

In February 2024, we were given an exciting challenge to design an app that simplifies trip planning by leveraging a travel AI model.

MYn is a travel app that aimed to scale its business by expanding its offerings within the travel category. Instead of limiting itself to just bookings, the goal was to introduce a Travel AI Model that could act as a personal trip planner for users. This AI would help users with everything from discovering destinations, planning itineraries, estimating costs, and finding the best travel modes, ensuring a seamless and well-planned travel experience. Designed the home screen with maximum focus on the AI bot, occupying around 60% of the space to encourage users to engage with it. Simultaneously, we ensured that the app's key offerings like Stay, Bus, and Ride for Sure were placed closer to the thumb area for quick and easy access.

The notification icon was strategically placed on the top left corner, aligning with standard usability patterns. Additionally, essential sections like Bookings, Profile, and the AI Bot were integrated into the bottom navigation bar for a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Introduced quick prompts on the AI Bot home screen to inspire users and give them a clear idea of the tasks the Bot can handle. To enhance the user experience, I added a thinking animation before the Bot replies, mimicking a human-like thought process.

Implemented two distinct booking options under the Ride for Sure category — Hourly Rentals and Airport Cabs. Although both offerings fall under the same service segment, their booking patterns differ significantly.
