I was always fascinated by art and design during my school days. Although drawing wasn't my expertise, I always wanted to create good art. During this time, I started closely observing movie posters, social media banners, and other visual designs, which felt amazing to me. I often wondered, "Can I make something like this?".
I was always fascinated by art and design during my school days. Although drawing wasn't my expertise, I always wanted to create good art. During this time, I started closely observing movie posters, social media banners, and other visual designs, which felt amazing to me. I often wondered, "Can I make something like this?".

After watching some YouTube videos, I discovered that it’s called graphic design, and the best part was — I didn’t need to be an artist to become a designer. I realized that by simply learning Photoshop, I could start designing and creating my own artwork.

My love and curiosity for design drove me to self-learn graphic design during my college days in 2019. I started taking up freelance projects simply because I enjoyed designing. However, during COVID in 2020, I began to seriously consider turning it into a full-time career.

I landed my first job at an agency, where I learned a lot about design and advertising. Wanting to level up my career, I switched to a bigger startup and joined their product design team as a Graphic Designer. It was here that I was first introduced to Product and UI/UX design, sparking my interest in building digital experiences.

UX was a completely new domain for me, and I soon realized that self-learning wouldn't be enough, especially while managing a full-time job. So, in 2023, I decided to join a 6-month, community-driven bootcamp to gain a structured understanding of UX design.

UX was a completely new domain for me, and I soon realized that self-learning wouldn't be enough, especially while managing a full-time job. So, in 2023, I decided to join a 6-month, community-driven bootcamp to gain a structured understanding of UX design.
During the bootcamp, I also switched to a new company as a Graphic Designer, knowing there was an opportunity to work on UI design alongside my primary role. This aligned perfectly with my future goal of becoming a Product Designer.

After completing the bootcamp, I requested my manager to assign me a small feature to design so I could test my skills. Fortunately, he agreed, and when I designed and presented the feature to the stakeholders, they really appreciated my work. This led to more opportunities, and eventually, I fully transitioned into Product Design.
